While at home, I teach exclusively at the Minneapolis YWCA. we have the largest Total Immersion program nationally, with more coaches trained than any other facility. I teach primarily at the Uptown location, and am available most weekdays both midmorning and in the evening after 6:00 pm. On occasion, I will have weekends open for lessons, but with regular workshops and meets, this is increasingly rare. I do have recommendations among my assistant coaches should you need alternate hours or sites.
TI Lesson Packages
TI Packages are for 1-2 people (no extra cost to bring the second swimmer) and include the following:
- 6 lessons, 30-minutes each. Bring a fellow athlete! Lessons are priced the same for one or two people to encourage clients to continue analyzing each other in their inter-lesson practice.
- Introduction and development of the entire Total Immersion freestyle drill series, a sequence of exercises that will help you not only swim faster and longer, but understand the mechanics of the stroke better.
- Video analysis with our above and underwater cameras.

TI swim instruction is available at all YWCA Minneapolis locations, and should be purchased at the location at which the instruction will take place. Touch-up Lessons- $75 (members) $90 (nonmembers)
Returning clients can take another package or opt for the occasional Touch-up session. This hour-long session includes video analysis, drill review, and pacing work as desired by the client but is only available for clients who have taken a TI package already.
Schedule Your Lessons
Our TI swim instructors use an online scheduling tool from AppointmentQuest. This tool allows you to search for openings months in advance and set up recurring appointments. This is where ALL appointments need to be booked and managed - appointments will not be taken over the phone.
Note: Although we appreciate messages when an appointment is cancelled, it is the responsibility of the client to log on and cancel their appointment on appointmentquest.com before 24 hours from the lesson. Lessons not cancelled before the 24-hour deadline will be charged to the client.
